  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/3 c. flour
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 4 egg yolks, beaten
  • 3 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 c. milk
  • 2 (1 oz.) sq. chocolate, cut fine
  • 1 (9-inch) baked pie shell

Directions

    In saucepan, mix together sugar, flour and salt.

    Gradually add milk, then chipped chocolate.
  3. 3
    Cook in double boiler, stirring constantly until thick.

    Put a little of chocolate mixture into beaten yolks.

    Then pour into hot mixture and cook two minutes longer, stirring constantly.

    Add butter and vanilla.

    Cool slightly.

    Pour into cold pie crust.

    Chill in refrigerator. Decorate with Cool Whip.
