Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp. cocoa or 1 Tbsp. cocoa for milk chocolate
  • 2 1/2 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 stick margarine
  • 1 1/2 to 2 c. milk
  • 1 pie shell, already baked

Directions

    In a saucepan, combine all dry ingredients.

    Add egg yolks, vanilla, margarine and milk.

    Cook on medium heat until it comes to a boil.

    Pour into baked pie shell.

    Top with meringue, if desired.

    Bake at 400° until meringue is browned.
