- 3 sticks softened butter
- 3 c. sugar
- 5 eggs
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 3 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. cocoa (nonsweetened)
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 c. milk
Directions

1Cream butter and sugar together and add eggs, one at a time, beating between each.

2Then add vanilla.

3In separate bowl, sift flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt.

4Add sifted mixture alternately with cup of milk.

5Spoon into large tube pan, well greased.

6Bake at 300°

7for 2 hours.

8Let cool in pan.

9Remove and wrap in aluminum foil.

10Store in refrigerator.
