- 3 c. sugar
- 5 eggs (3/4 c. whites and 1/2 cup yolks)
- 1/2 c. cocoa
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 3 c. plain flour
- 1 c. milk
Directions

1Cream butter and Crisco.

2Add sugar gradually, then add egg yolks.

3Mix dry ingredients together and add to batter gradually with milk.

4Beat egg whites until stiff; fold in batter lightly. Bake at 325° for 1 hour and 25 minutes.
