Chocolate Pound Cake

- 1/2 lb. butter
- 1/2 c. Crisco
- 3 c. sugar
- 7 Tbsp. cocoa
- 5 eggs
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. milk
- 3 c. flour (cake or plain)
Directions

1Cream butter, Crisco and sugar until creamy.

2Add eggs one at a time.

3Beat well.

4Add vanilla.

5Sift flour and cocoa with baking powder.

6Add to creamed mixture, adding flour first, then 1/4 of milk until all flour and milk has been added to creamed mixture. Bake at 275° for 2 hours.

7Bake this in large tube pan.

8Cool in pan 10 minutes, then turn onto wire rack to completely cool.
