  • 2 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1/2 c. buttermilk
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 stick oleo
  • 1 c. water
  • 1/2 c. oil
  • 4 Tbsp. cocoa

Directions

    Sift first 3 ingredients together; set aside.

    Bring water, oleo, oil and cocoa to a boil.

    Boil 1 minute.

    Pour over dry mixture.

    Mix milk, eggs and vanilla together.

    Add to batter. Bake in a 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan at 350° for 1 hour.
