- 1 c. sugar
- 3 Tbsp. cocoa
- 1 c. milk
- 1 Tbsp. vanilla
- 1 rounded Tbsp. flour
- 3 eggs, separated
- 1 Tbsp. margarine
- 6 Tbsp. sugar
- 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
- 1 (8-inch) baked pie crust
Directions

1Mix sugar, flour and cocoa.

2Slightly beat yolks and add milk. Melt margarine in heavy skillet.

3Stir in sugar mixture until well blended.

4Remove from heat and add egg and milk mixture.

5Return to heat and stir until mixture thickens.

6Add vanilla and pour into crust.

7Beat egg whites until stiff.
-
8Add 6 tablespoons sugar, one at a time, and cream of tartar.

9Spread over chocolate.

10Bake at 325° until brown.
