  • 12 cup applesauce
  • 12 cup butter, softened
  • 2 eggs
  • 13 cup water
  • 1 14 cups sugar
  • 1 12 cups all-purpose flour
  • 13 cup baking cocoa
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 34 teaspoon salt
  • 14 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 13 cup walnuts
  • 12 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 -2 tablespoon milk
  • 14 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 pinch salt

Directions

    In a bowl, combine applesauce, butter, eggs, water and sugar.

    Beat on low speed for 30 seconds.

    Combine dry ingredients.

    Add to applesauce mixture.

    Beat on low for 30 seconds.

    Increase speed to high and beat for 2 1/2 minutes.

    Scrape bowl often.

    Fold in chocolate chips and walnuts.

    Pour into greased 9X5X3 loaf pan.

    Bake at 350 for 60-70 minutes or til a toothpick inserted comes out clean.

    Cool in pan 10 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.
