- 1 peck green tomatoes
- 3 lb. onions
- 3 lb. cabbage
- 9 c. vinegar
- 9 c. sugar
- 6 red bell peppers
- 3 green bell peppers
- 6 red hot peppers
- 1 box pickling spices
- 1 handful salt
Directions

1Grind tomatoes.

2Put salt in these.

3Drain well.

4Grind cabbage, onions and peppers.

5Do not drain these.

6Mix sugar, vinegar and pickling spices (tie pickling spices in a piece of cheesecloth).

7Put all ingredients together.

8Cook until it changes color.

9Do not overcook.

10Put in jars and seal.

11Makes about 18 pints. I buy about 4 pounds cabbage and onions to allow for peelings.
