Ingredients

  • 4 c. onions
  • 10 green tomatoes
  • 12 green peppers
  • 6 red peppers
  • 1 medium cabbage
  • 2 c. water
  • 4 c. vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp. mustard seed
  • 1 Tbsp. celery seed
  • 1/2 tsp. turmeric
  • 1/2 c. salt
  • 6 c. sugar

Directions

    Grind up all vegetables and put into a large bowl.

    Mix 1/2 cup of salt and 2 cups of water and pour over vegetables.

    Soak in refrigerator overnight.

    Mix together vinegar, mustard seed, celery seed, turmeric and sugar and bring to a boil.

    Simmer 3 to 5 minutes, put into hot jars and seal tightly.
