Ingredients

  • 1 qt. green tomatoes
  • 2 sweet green peppers
  • 2 sweet red peppers
  • 2 large mild onions
  • 1 small head cabbage
  • 1/2 half c. salt
  • 3 c. vinegar
  • 2 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. dry mustard
  • 1 tsp. turmeric

Directions

    Prepare vegetables and chop fine.

    Add salt and let stand overnight.

    Drain and press out all liquid, if possible.

    Add other ingredients and bring to a boil.

    Simmer 2 hours over low flame.

    Stir frequently.

    Pour into hot sterilized jars and seal.
