- 2 lb. pork sausage
- 4 c. water
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. soy sauce
- 3 c. shredded cabbage
- 1 c. sliced onion
- 2 1/3 c. chopped celery
- 1 can raw mushrooms
- 1/4 c. cornstarch
- 1/4 c. water
Directions

1Brown the sausage and set aside.

2Combine all ingredients in a 5-quart saucepan (a Dutch oven works best).

3Bring it to a boil and cook just until vegetables are tender-crisp.

4In a small dish mix 1/4 cup cornstarch and 1/4 cup water.

5Add to the vegetable and meat mixture.

6Cook just until thickened.

7Serve over rice or noodles.
