- 2 c. chopped clams
- 4 slices bacon
- 2 medium onions, chopped small
- 3 Tbsp. chopped green pepper
- 3 ribs celery, diced fine
- 2 carrots, diced fine
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 5 medium potatoes, peeled and minced
- 2 c. clam juice
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 6 drops Tabasco
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 2 c. half and half cream
- 1 Tbsp. minced fresh parsley
- 1 Tbsp. thyme
Directions

1Saute bacon until crisp; drain (saving fat).

2Crumble bacon and set aside.

3Slowly saute onions, green pepper, celery, carrots and garlic in bacon fat until tender.

4Boil potatoes in salted water until cooked.

5Combine vegetables; add seasonings and beat in a mixer until creamy.

6Do not beat longer or it will become too smooth and thick.
