  • 1 spice cake mix
  • 1 c. chopped walnuts
  • 1 c. chopped pecans
  • 1 c. dates, cut up
  • 1 c. figs, cut up
  • 1 c. gumdrops, cut up (don't use the licorice ones)
  • 1 c. blackberry preserves with seeds

Directions

    Mix spice cake as directed on the back of the box, then add blackberry preserves and then the remaining ingredients and mix well.

    Grease and flour a tube pan and pour cake mix evenly in pan. Top with walnut and pecan halves and bake at 350° for 1 hour or using a toothpick and place in the cake and if it comes out clean, the cake is done.
