Ingredients: 2 1/2 c. fine bread crumbs; 1 c. suet, chopped finely; 1 c. milk; 1 c. raisins; 1 c. chopped nuts; 1 c. currants; 1/2 c. citron, orange and lemon peel; 2 eggs; 1 tsp. soda; 1 tsp. baking powder; 1 tsp. each: cinnamon, nutmeg and vanilla; 1/2 tsp. salt; 1 c. light brown sugar

Combine ingredients; fill tin cans (16 ounce) 2/3 full, lids on while steaming.

Steam 3 hours in steamer or large roasting pan half full of water.
