Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 4 c. cranberries
  • 1/4 c. cold water
  • 3/4 c. chopped walnuts
  • 1 c. water
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. gelatin
  • 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 1 c. diced celery
  • 2 medium heads cabbage, shredded
  • 1 carrot, grated
  • 1 green bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. celery seed
  • 1 tsp. mustard seed
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 c. vinegar

Directions

    Mix together in a saucepan the sugar, vinegar, celery and mustard seed.

    Bring to a boil.

    Mix shredded cabbage, grated carrots, chopped peppers and onions together.

    Pour hot vinegar mixture over slaw and let cool.

    Refrigerate overnight or put into freezer cartons and freeze for future use.
