  • 2 teaspoons Baking Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Kosher Salt
  • 2 teaspoons Cinnamon, Divided
  • 1 cup Unsalted Butter
  • 2 cups Dark Brown Sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 Tablespoon Vanilla
  • 10 ounces, weight Cinnamon Chips
  • 2 Tablespoons Sugar

Directions

    Preheat the oven to 350°F.

    Stir together the flour, baking powder, salt and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon together in a medium bowl.

    Beat the butter and brown sugar until smooth. Beat in the eggs one at a time until smooth and creamy. Add the vanilla and mix well. Add the flour mixture gradually, beating constantly. Stir in the cinnamon chips.

    Spread the batter evenly in a lightly greased 9 x 13 baking pan. Mix the sugar and remaining 1 teaspoon of cinnamon in a small bowl. Sprinkle evenly over the batter.

    Bake for 25 to 30 minutes. Cool slightly. Cut with a sharp knife into bars while still warm.
