Cinnamon Fingers

  • 1 c. sugar
  • 2 sticks butter
  • 1 egg yolk (save white)
  • 2 c. plain flour
  • 3 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 c. chopped nuts

Directions

    Cream sugar and butter and add egg yolk.

    Sift together flour and cinnamon.

    Combine ingredients and mix well.

    Press into jelly roll pan.

    Beat egg white until foamy and spread over dough. Sprinkle with one cup of chopped pecans and gently press them down.

    Bake 45 minutes at 300°.

    As soon as removed from oven, immediately cut into fingers and remove from pan to cool.

    Freezes beautifully.
