Cinnamon Pecan Shortbread Bars

  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 12 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup pecans, chopped

Directions

    HEAT oven to 350F Spray bottom only of a 13 x 9-inch baking pan with no-stick spray.

    Combine butter and sugar in large bowl; beat until light and fluffy.

    Beat in egg.

    Add flour, cinnamon, salt and vanilla; mix well.

    Stir in 1/2 cup pecans.

    Press dough into bottom of pan.

    SPRINKLE remaining 1/2 cup pecans over dough; press in lightly.

    BAKE 30 to 35 minutes or until lightly browned.

    Cool completely.

    Cut into bars.
