  • 1 package yeast
  • 1/2 cup warm water
  • 1/2 cup milk scalding
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup butter
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 egg
  • 3 1/2 cups flour approx.
  • butter More, softened
  • cinnamon sugar
  • nuts
  • powdered sugar
  • milk
  • vanilla

Directions

    Dissolve yeast in water. Set aside.

    Scald milk, add sugar, butter and salt. Let cool, add egg and rest of ingredients (yeast water and flour bit by bit).

    Let rise until it doubles (a couple of hours).

    Roll out dough into large rectangle. Smear with softened butter. Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar and add nuts and raisins if you want.

    Roll back up and cut into individual rolls. Spray a large pan with pam, cut rolls, and place into pan. Let rolls rise again.

    Preheat oven to 350F and cook for about 25 minutes until golden brown.

    In the meantime, mix together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla to glaze cinnamon rolls when finished cooking.
