Ingredients

  • 2 (14 ounce) cans diced tomatoes
  • 1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
  • 1 cup clam juice
  • 1/2 cup dry red wine
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup chopped green bell pepper
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 2 (6 1/2 ounce) cans minced clams
  • 8 ounces fillets of sole
  • 8 ounces shrimp, trimmed
  • salt and pepper

Directions

    Combine all ingredients except seafood, salt and pepper in slow cooker.

    Cover and cook on low 6-8 hours, adding clams and liquor during the last hour and remaining seafood during the last 15 minutes.

    Season to taste with salt and pepper.
