- 2 cans minced clams
- 1/2 tsp. basil
- pinch of thyme
- salt and pepper to taste
- 2 Tbsp. margarine
- 8 strips bacon
- 1 potato, peeled and finely chopped
- 1 c. half and half or cream
Directions

1Saute onion in butter until tender.

2Cook for 5 minutes.

3Add remaining ingredients; simmer about 10 minutes.

4Serve with cheese straws while hot.
