- 2 c. cooked clams, drained
- 1 medium onion, chopped fine
- 3 slices crisp fried bacon, crumbled
- 2 to 4 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
- 2 c. boiling salted water
- salt and pepper
- 3 c. milk or half and half
Directions

1Fry bacon, then saute onions in 2 tablespoons bacon fat. Simmer potatoes in water until tender.

2Add bacon, onion, salt and pepper to cooked potatoes.

3Simmer 5 to 10 minutes.

4Add milk and bring to boil.

5Add clams and barely heat.

6Serve with a dollop of butter and a pinch of thyme.

7Top with parsley.
