  • 3 slices salt pork
  • 1 1/2 c. water
  • 1 medium onion, cut fine
  • 3 c. (strong) cubed potatoes
  • 1 (10 1/2 oz.) can whole clams and juice
  • 3 or 4 c. milk
  • salt and pepper
  • butter (size of walnut)

Directions

    Fry out slices of salt pork in a 2-quart saucepan, then add to this the water, onion and potatoes.
