Ingredients

  • 4 to 6 slices bacon
  • 1 pt. finely chopped clams
  • 2 medium carrots
  • 3 medium potatoes
  • 1 medium onion
  • 6 Tbsp. butter
  • 6 Tbsp. flour
  • 6 c. Milkman powdered milk
  • season to taste (our favorites are garlic, Mrs. Dash, parsley and turmeric)

Directions

    Fry bacon; remove.

    Stir-fry clams in bacon grease.

    Stir-fry carrots, onion and potatoes until done.

    Add butter, if needed. Remove veggies.

    Add butter to remaining bacon grease.

    Add flour and spices.

    Fry until golden.

    Add 6 cups milk all at once; stir constantly until mixture thickens.

    Do not boil.

    Crumble in bacon and serve.
