Co-Cola Chicken

3 ingredients
10 steps

Ingredients

  • 1 whole Cut Up Fryer
  • 1 can (12 Oz.) Co-Cola (I Use Diet)
  • Ketchup To Taste

Directions

  1. 1
    Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  2. 2
    Spray casserole/baking dish (usually I use a 13 1/2 by 8 1/2) with a nonstick spray.
  3. 3
Rinse pieces of an entire cut-up fryer.
  4. 4
    Place in dish.
  5. 5
The next step has two variations.
  6. 6
You can drizzle ketchup over the top of the chicken pieces and then pour the can of Co-Cola OR you can mix ketchup (usually 1 to 2 cups, depending on how thick you want the sauce to be) and Co-Cola then pour the mixture over the chicken.
  7. 7
Both ways work well and are delicious.
  8. 8
I prefer the first because it makes for a nice variation between parts of the chicken.
  9. 9
Bake for 35 to 45 minutes or until juices run clear and the meat of the thickest piece is no longer pink.
  10. 10
Serve over white rice; pour pan juices over top.
