- 1/2 stick (4 Tbsp.) softened butter
- 2/3 c. brown sugar
- 2 Tbsp. evaporated milk (undiluted)
- chopped nuts or shredded coconut (optional)
Directions

1Cream the butter.

2Add brown sugar; cream and beat until smooth, adding the milk slowly.

3Mix in as many nuts or as much coconut, or both, as desired.

4Allow the cake to cool just a few minutes in the pan, then spread with the topping.

5Bake an additional 5 minutes at 350°.
