- 7 lb. sliced cucumbers
- 2 gal. water
- 2 c. hydrated lime
- 4 1/2 lb. sugar
- 1 1/2 qt. vinegar
- 1 tsp. mustard seed
- 1 tsp. celery seed
- 3 tsp. salt
Directions

1Soak sliced cucumbers in water and lime for 24 hours.

2Rinse in cold water and drain.

3Let stand in cold water 3 hours and drain off.

4Pour syrup of sugar, vinegar, mustard and celery seed and salt over cucumbers and let stand overnight.

5Put on stove and cook for 30 minutes and then seal while hot.

6These are always crisp and you can use any size cucumbers.

7Weigh cucumbers after sliced.
