- 1/2 c. butter
- 1/3 c. sifted cocoa
- 3/4 c. sifted flour
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 c. sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 3/4 c. chopped nuts
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350°.

2Cream butter with sugar until fluffy. Beat in eggs and vanilla.

3Sift cocoa with flour, baking powder and salt; work into creamed mixture.

4Stir in nuts and bake 30 to 35 minutes in greased 8 x 8 x 2-inch pan, or just until pulls from sides.

5Cool to room temperature upright in pan on a wire rack. Cut into 16 squares and serve.
