  • 2 sticks oleo
  • 1/2 c. Crisco
  • 3 c. sugar
  • 5 eggs
  • 3 c. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 c. cocoa
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/4 c. sweet milk
  • 2 tsp. vanilla

    Separate eggs and beat whites until stiff; set aside.

    Cream Crisco and sugar; add egg yolks.

    Sift dry ingredients together and add to cream mixture.

    Fold in egg whites.

    Bake at 350° in ring pan for 1 3/4 hours or until tested done.
