- 2 c. all-purpose flour
- 3/4 c. flaked coconut, toasted
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/3 c. Crisco shortening
- 1 c. milk
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Heat oven to 425°.

2Combine flour, coconut, sugar, baking powder and salt in medium bowl.

3Cut in shortening with pastry blender (or 2 knives) to form coarse crumbs.

4Combine milk and vanilla.

5Add to dry ingredients.

6Mix with fork until particles are moistened and cling together.

7Drop tablespoonfuls onto baking sheet.

8Bake at 425° for 12 to 14 minutes.

9Yield:

1012 to 16 biscuits.
