  • 1 c. shortening
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 3 c. flour
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 3 tsp. baking powder

Directions

    Combine shortening and sugar; sift salt, baking powder and flour together.

    Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each. Add flour and milk.

    Pour into greased and floured cake pan and bake at 350° until lightly browned.
