- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 1/3 c. cornstarch
- 2 1/3 c. milk
- 2 eggs, separated
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. coconut
- 2 Tbsp. margarine
- 1 baked pie shell
Directions

1Mix sugar, salt and cornstarch in saucepan with 1/3 cup milk. Beat egg yolks; add to remaining milk.

2Stir well.

3Add egg mixture to saucepan.

4Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thick.

5Remove from heat.

6Stir in vanilla, margarine and coconut.

7Pour into baked pie shell.

8Beat egg whites, adding 1/4 cup sugar and cover pie.

9Bake 10 minutes at 375°.
