Ingredients
- 4 c. unsifted flour
- 1 pkg. dry yeast
- 1/2 c. water
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1/2 c. butter or oleo
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 eggs, slightly beaten
- 2 (1 lb.) coffee cans or pan
Directions

1Mix 2 cups flour with yeast.

2Stir in water, milk, butter, sugar and salt over low heat until butter melts.

3Cool 5 minutes and pour over flour-yeast mixture.

4Stir; add remaining flour and eggs.

5Dough will be stiff.

6Knead on floured board until dough is smooth and elastic.

7Coat the inside of cans or pan with grease. Divide dough in half.

8Place in cans (upright).

9Cover with plastic lids (if made into rolls, cover with towel).

10Let rise in warm place until dough reaches 1-inch from top of can.

11Remove lids.

12Bake at 375° for 35 minutes, until top sounds hollow when tapped and cake tester comes out clean.
