Coffee Frosting

  • 1/3 cup butter or margarine, softened
  • 2 1/4 cups sifted powdered sugar
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons Kahlua or other coffee-flavored liqueur
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped chocolate coffee beans

Directions

    Beat butter at medium speed of an electric mixer until creamy. Gradually add sugar and Kahlua, beating until blended. Fold in chopped coffee beans.

    Note: Chocolate coffee beans are available at specialty food shops or gourmet candy counters. Substitute cold brewed coffee for Kahlua if desired.
