  • 3 c. sugar
  • 5 eggs (added 1 at a time)
  • 1 tsp. lemon
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 3 c. flour (measure before sifting)
  • 1 c. milk

    Cream Crisco and butter; add eggs 1 at a time.

    Add vanilla, lemon, milk and flour.

    Bake in round cake pan for 1 hour and 15 minutes (start in cold oven).
