- 2 1/4 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2/3 c. shortening
- 1 pkg. brown sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 pkg. chocolate bits
Directions

1In a bowl, mix dry ingredients together.

2Melt shortening; remove from heat.

3Add brown sugar; add eggs one at a time; add vanilla; add dry ingredients slowly.

4Add chocolate bits.

5Bake at 350° for 25 to 30 minutes.
