  • 2 3/4 c. flour
  • 2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2/3 c. shortening
  • 2 1/4 c. brown sugar (1 pkg.)
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 c. nuts
  • 1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips

Directions

    Mix and sift flour, baking powder and salt.

    Melt shortening. Add brown sugar.

    Stir until well mixed.

    Allow to cool slightly. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each.

    Add dry ingredients, then nuts and chocolate chips.

    Bake in greased pan (10 1/2 x 15 1/2-inch) at 350° for 20 to 30 minutes.
