  • 1/2 c. bran
  • 1 c. milk
  • 3/4 c. flour
  • 1 c. corn meal
  • 1 Tbsp. baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 eggs (large), beaten
  • 1/2 c. vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 c. packed brown sugar

    Preheat oven to 375°.

    Stir cereal and milk in a large bowl. Let stand for 10 minutes.

    Combine flour, cornmeal, baking powder, soda and salt.

    Add beaten eggs, oil and vanilla to milk.

    Whisk in brown sugar until smooth.

    Add dry ingredients.

    Spoon batter into prepared cups.

    Bake 20 minutes, until toothpick comes out clean.
