- 1 pkg. active dry yeast
- 1 1/2 c. warm water (105~ to 115~)
- 1 1/2 c. Nabisco 100% bran
- 2 1/2 to 3 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 Tbsp. granulated sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 egg, beaten
- 2 tsp. coarse salt
Directions

1Preheat oven to 425°.

2Grease cookie sheet.

3In large bowl, combine yeast and warm water; stir until dissolved.

4Add bran; let stand 5 minutes to soften.

5In medium bowl, combine 2 1/2 cups flour, sugar and salt.

6Using wooden spoon, stir into bran mixture until well combined.

7Gradually add remaining flour if dough is too sticky to handle.

8Place on floured board; knead until smooth, 1 to 2 minutes.

9Cover with towel.

10Let stand 5 to 10 minutes. Divide dough into 12 pieces; roll each into 13-inch rope.

11Form into pretzel shape.

12Place on prepared cookie sheet.

13Brush lightly with egg.

14Sprinkle with coarse salt.

15Bake for 12 to 15 minutes.

16Makes 12 pretzels.
