- 8 Tbsp. corn meal
- 4 Tbsp. flour
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 egg, well beaten
Directions

1Add 2 tablespoons bacon drippings in a cast-iron skillet and melt.

2Pour a majority of the drippings into corn bread mixture. Add about 1/2 cup of milk.

3Mix all ingredients well.

4Bake at 350° for 20 to 25 minutes in skillet.
