  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1 c. buttermilk
  • 1 egg

    Pour oil to cover bottom of a 10 1/2-inch cast-iron skillet and preheat in a 425° oven.

    Mix ingredients well and pour into hot skillet.
