- 1 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 1/2 c. milk
- fat or oil for frying
Directions

1Mix together the cornmeal, salt, baking powder and flour.

2Add the egg and enough of the milk to make a stiff batter.

3Drop the batter from a spoon into deep fat and fry until golden brown, turning once.

4Drain the fritters on paper towels.
