- 1/4 lb. bacon
- 1 small onion, diced
- 1 (16 oz.) can whole kernel corn
- 2 c. diced potatoes
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. paprika
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 3 c. boiling water
- 1 c. evaporated milk
Directions

1Cut bacon into small pieces and fry slowly to a golden brown in a 3 to 4-quart saucepan.

2Add onion and cook slowly, without browning, 5 minutes.

3Add corn (including liquid) and potatoes. Sprinkle with seasonings.

4Add boiling water and cook slowly until potatoes are tender, 20 to 25 minutes.

5Remove from heat and slowly stir in milk.

6Makes 4 to 6 servings.
