  • 1 c. cornmeal
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. butter or bacon drippings
  • 1 c. boiling water

Directions

    Mix all ingredients except water.

    Pour water over this mixture and beat until well blended.

    Dip hands in cold water. Take a handful of batter and drop onto a greased cookie sheet or griddle.

    Bake in 400° oven for about 8 minutes or you can cook on top of stove.
