- 1/4 c. oleo
- 1 1/2 c. cornbread mix
- 1 egg
- 1/3 c. milk
- 1 c. cream-style corn
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 c. (4 oz.) shredded mild Cheddar
- 1 large chopped onion
Directions

1In pan, melt oleo and saute onion until it's transparent.

2Set aside and drain.

3In bowl, combine cornbread mix, milk, egg and corn.

4Mix well.

5Add drained onion.

6Spoon into a greased 9-inch baking pan.

7Spread cheese over batter.

8Bake at 425° for 30 minutes.

9Cut into squares and serve.
