  • 4 c. hot water
  • 2 c. Indian Head corn meal
  • 1 stick oleo
  • 1 c. flour
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 c. milk or evaporated milk
  • 1 heaping tsp. baking powder
  • dash of salt

Directions

    Put water, meal and oleo in a heavy pot and cook, stirring constantly until thickened.

    Remove from stove and stir in all other ingredients until smooth.

    Pour into a 14 x 10 x 2-inch greased pan.

    Bake at 350° for 1 hour until golden brown and cracking.
