- 4 c. cornmeal
- 3 c. flour
- 5 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 4 eggs
- 3 c. milk (skim, 1%, 2% or whole)
- 1 c. vegetable shortening, heated but not fully melted
Directions

1Combine dry ingredients in large bowl.

2Add eggs, one at a time, mixing after each addition.

3Blend in milk.

4Add shortening and mix well.

5Cover and refrigerate 1 hour.

6Preheat oven to 500°. Grease small corn stick molds (5 x 1 1/2-inches) and set in oven until molds are hot.
