- 1/2 c. yellow cornmeal
- 1/2 c. flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 1/2 c. canned evaporated milk
- 2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
- dehydrated minced onions (optional)
Directions

1Combine first 5 ingredients in medium bowl.

2Add egg, milk and oil.

3Stir until smooth.

4Stir in onions (optional).

5Coat pan with Pam.

6Heat stick pan in oven at 425° until hot.

7Remove pan from oven and spoon in batter 2/3 full.

8Return pan to oven and bake at 425° for 10 to 12 minutes until lightly brown.

9Yields 1 dozen sticks.
