  • 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/4 c. shortening or bacon fat
  • 1 1/2 c. buttermilk
  • 2 eggs

    Pour into greased round layer pan (9 x 1 1/2-inch or loaf pan).
